A day spent at a theme park is what one needs to put the fun back into life. Don’t you think so? As cheesy as it sounds, theme parks are always a barrel of fun for everyone. An outdoor theme park is the norm, but when you live where the weather is unpredictable (why does it always rain when you want to have fun in the sun?), an indoor theme park is your best bet.
A popular indoor theme park in Kuala Lumpur is the Berjaya Times Square Theme Park, formerly known as Cosmo’s World Theme Park.
Berjaya Times Square Theme Park Location
The Berjaya Times Square Theme Park is located within Berjaya Times Square Shopping Mall on the 5th and 7th floor. The mall is located just a stone throw away from Bukit Bintang. This is probably the reason why people love going to this mall. One can shop till their drop at the wide variety of retail shops, eat their fill at the various food and beverage outlets in the mall, or catch a movie at the cinema. Besides shopping, eating and watching a movie, getting to the theme park/mall is also really easy as the mall is connected to the Monorail station, the Imbi train station. So one wouldn’t need to drive anywhere, getting to Times Square is just as easy as hopping on the train.

Rides at the Berjaya Times Square Theme Park
The theme park, measuring 133,000 square feet, has two main areas of fun; the Galaxy Station and the Fantasy Garden.
Galaxy Station:
The Galaxy Station is specifically targeted for adults and teenagers (who said theme parks are only for children?). The Galaxy Station, located on the 5th floor, has six adrenalin pumping ride;
- Supersonic Odyssey – Asia Pacific’s longest multiple-inverted, 800 metre long indoor roller coaster. The 48 seater goes up to 80kmph.
- Spinning Orbit – A spiralling ride that soars up to 30metres while rotating at 10rpm.
- Space Attack – A giant pendulum kind of ride that swings 360’ backwards and forward to heights of over 20 metres.
- DNA Mixer – A crazy gondola ride that loops forward and backwards while tilting at the same time.
- Ooort’s Express – A wackier version of everyone’s favourite merry-go-round. The circular motion will seem like it is spinning out of control at the speed of 17rpm.
- Dizzy Lzzy – A spinning spider-like ride that can fit 40 passengers at a time.
We strongly advise you to not consume any food or drink before going on any of these rides.
Fantasy Garden:
The Fantasy Garden is mainly for children and families. There are eight fun rides located within beautiful scenery of cartoon images, gigantic plants and creatures and other magical things that will leave your young ones spellbound.
- Buddy Go Round – Young ones will go round and round on a fun carousel ride while sitting on unique looking creatures.
- Fantasy Trail – Take a train ride to check out the amazing scenery around the theme park.
- Botanic Drive – Hop into a cute car and take a nice slow drive around to check out the magical surroundings.
- Flying Bumble Bee – A ride that will have your young ones flying around in a bumble bee!
- Robo Crash – Some bumper car fun for the adults.
- Honey Bump – A kids version of the bumper car ride.
