It was a classy and enjoyable affair for a delighted group of expats when our recent Mingle was held at the upscale Eastin Hotel in Section 16. Playing host to the event was the Divan Cigar Lounge at the hotel, which provided a comfortable and enjoyable venue for the expats in attendance. The food was outstanding as Eastin provided gourmet canapés such as Vietnamese Prawn Salad with Papaya and Green Mango, Blackened Salmon, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken and Mushroom Yam Puffs, and more. And if the canapés weren’t enough, live cooking stations were set up outside the lounge, preparing delicious spicy Chicken Quesadillas and classic Malaysian Chicken Curry with Roti and Dhal. Guests quenched their thirst with glasses of cold Anchor Smooth beer, courtesy of GAB, and a wonderful selection of red and white wines from our friends at Cronier Wines.
As the evening progressed, Eastin proved to be the complete host by providing lucky draw prizes such as complimentary hotel stays for two (with breakfast!) and vouchers for meals at their F&B outlets. We also gave away movie passes, bottles of wine, dining vouchers, and a pair of return tickets to Jakarta, courtesy of KLM.
A fantastic evening of great food, refreshing beers and wines, and a whole lot of good company!
