On Saturday 17th March, The Expat Group and Simpson Marine – generously supported by Mercedes-Benz Lowe Motors Sdn Bhd and Carlsberg Malaysia – held a sumptuous event at the E&O Straits Quay Marina in Penang.
The specially invited guests to this exclusive event experienced an afternoon of style and flair, on both land and sea. Under a marquee set up next to the mooring of one of Simpson Marine’s beautiful super yachts, The Blue Dolphin, the guests sipped on champagne and ice cold Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc, whilst enjoying the beauty of the early evening marina setting, and exploring the exquisite thoroughbred lines of the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350, C180 Coupe and a SLK 200, graciously brought to the marina by Lowe Motors Sdn Bhd.
After an hour of dockside mingling the 30 plus guests were then, escorted onboard the Blue Dolphin, an 80 foot motor yacht, with four cabins, which sleeps eight, plus two crew cabins, refitted in 2011, and with an asking price of USD$1,200,000. The elegant and spacious Blue Dolphin has just returned to Malaysia looking fabulous with her new paint and redesigned fly bridge. The guests were then treated to an hour and a half, early evening sunset cruise onboard the Blue Dolphin, with fine wine, canapes and lots of Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc, France’s best-selling super premium beer, served by the crew of the super yacht.
With a final flourish of a typically spectacular Penang sunset, the beautiful Blue Dolphin then elegantly docked back at the E&O Straits Quay Marina, Penang, and the happy and enchanted guests disembarked with tales of life on land and sea, and always with flair. The Expat Group would like to send its great appreciation to Simpson Marine, who graciously provided the motor yacht Blue Dolphin, Lowe Motors Sdn Bhd, who supplied the elegant Mercedes-Benz’s models, and Carlsberg Malaysia for the generous provision of the very well received Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc.
