A refreshing new alcoholic beverage, Somersby Cider, an imported premium cider from Sweden, was recently launched by Carlsberg Malaysia.
The beverage is a refreshing alcoholic drink made from fermented apple juice and natural ingredients. It contains 4.5% of alcohol, is sweet with no beer after taste, contains no artificial sweeteners, flavours or colourings, and is best served with ice.
“Cider is rather new to the Malaysian market. As consumers become more sophisticated in their choices, we feel that Somersby offers a refreshing alternative to beer. Malaysia is the third country in the region, after Singapore and Hong Kong, to launch Somersby Apple cider, a flagship cider brand owned by the Carlsberg Group,” explains Soren Ravn, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia.
According to Ravn, Somersby Apple Cider is the perfect drink for both men and women to enjoy during brunch, in the hot afternoons or as a happy hour drink. “Because of its sweet and refreshing fruity taste, there is no limitation or definitive time to enjoy a Somersby Apple Cider; it is the perfect alcoholic beverage around the clock.”
