WaterWorld@ i-City, the RM25 million water theme park, is all set to welcome the Tornado Ride. The new theme park is i-citys’ fourth leisure component.
The Tornado Ride is a zero-gravity journey, on a tube raft, down a 48.8m water tunnel connected to a seven storey-high-funnel. To enter the funnel, one will have to go through an 18.3m in diameter opening. The exit will be much narrower. The 28 seconds ride will eventually end in a landing pool.
The thrilling Tornado Ride was first introduced in Canada in 2003. Now, there are over 100 Tornado Rides in the world and WaterWorld@ i-City is the only one to have it in the Asean region.
The powerful Tornado Ride can take an average of 480 riders an hour. About 4,400 gallons of water needs to be pumped into the funnel every minute to ensure a smooth ride. The Tornado Ride will definitely excite thrill seekers, but it is also safe, thanks to its Canadian design which takes into account all physical and kinetic aspects for complete safety.
Other stuff to look out for at WaterWorld@i-City:
- A wave pool with a stage and LCD screen for concerts and special events
- A giant Jacuzzi and a river adventure through a Rockery Cave illuminated by LED lights
- A Children Adventure pool for toddlers
- A multi-rainbow slide for children, teenagers and adults
