The Paperboy is based on a 1995 novel of the same name by American author Pete Dexter.
A man (played by John Cusack) is on the death row for murder. A reporter and his younger brother are investigating the murder he was involved in, to exonerate the man.
Both brothers were recruited by a woman (played by Nicole Kidman) who is in love with the man on death row. Both Cusack and Kidman have never met, but Kidman is determined to prove Cusack’s innocence, to release him from jail and marry him.
The movie stars also stars Matthew McConaughey and Zac Efron.
