Emirates Airline showcased its commitment to quality and excellence by reiterating its determination and passion in providing one of the best culinary delights in the air. Having recently been awarded the highly coveted 2013 ‘World’s Best Airline’ title by Skytrax, Emirates demonstrated its strength in creating memorable experience with its culinary offerings.
During a recent luncheon, Mr. Bernard Brévot, Emirates Airline’s Regional Catering Manager, Service Delivery – Aircraft Catering, shared highlights of the Emirates cuisine from menu development, creation and preparation methods to the quality of ingredients. A special display of its culinary spread was showcased, highlighting the variety of food and beverage products offered on the Kuala Lumpur – Dubai route across First, Business and Economy classes.
Mr. Bernard Brévot said, “Emirates offers one of the best cuisine available in the skies for passengers of all classes including children – there is something for everyone to enjoy and experience onboard. Food and beverage is an integral component of any airline and we are delighted to constantly be in the forefront, expanding and enhancing our food and beverage products to serve only the very best to passengers.”
Mr. Kavin Martinus, Country Manager, Emirates Malaysia spoke of the variety of local cuisine offered on the sector. He said, “Serving 134 destinations in 77 countries, Emirates is dedicated to providing local cuisine to reflect the many cultures of the different markets it flies to. On the Dubai – Kuala Lumpur – Dubai route, we are pleased to over a variety of Malaysian favourites including satay, roti jala and nasi lemak.”
Globally, Emirates generates 8,600 menus per month with menus being rotated and revamped on a monthly basis. It provides 40 million meals annually and on average, 130,000 meals daily.
