If you own an Audi A1, A3, or S3 (2012 models) but you are not so sure about the car’s controls, you may miss out on some of the benefits of the car. Until now, the only option was to go through the leather-bound manual supplied by the car maker, which could be a tad boring and tedious.
There is also the question of what to do in case of an emergency and other times when you would need a quick answer. Thus, Audi recently launched an application called Audi eKurzinfo.
How Does the Audi iPhone App Work?
You just aim the iPhone camera with the Audi app towards a car part that you want information on, and the application will use its augmented reality feature to come up with the required data quickly. The app has basically converted your iPhone into a user manual. This will likely be a trend for automobile manufactures, given the ubiquity of smartphones.
The Audi app contains data on more than 300 car parts. So the next time you don’t understand part of the car, rather than search through the printed manual, just download the Audi eKurzinfo app, install it on your iPhone, point the camera at a car part, tap the screen once and voila! You get instant information on that part.
The app is available in the application section of the Audi website and also on the iTunes store. It is available free of cost and in three languages – English, German, and Japanese. So if you are the proud owner of an Audi A1, A3, or S3 in Malaysia, and, if you have an iPhone, you can now use the app to easily improve your knowledge about the car.
