The much talked about Moto G will be shipped to the Malaysian shores on January 13, 2014. It is the first Motorola phone to be launched in Malaysia after a gap of over a year. The last phone that the company released here was the Moto RAZR MAXX, in May 2012. Motorola revealed its plans for Moto G in Malaysia last month, when it unveiled its inexpensive smartphone.
The Moto G, which is designed for emerging economies like Malaysia, can be preordered through Lazada Malaysia. The phone is available in 2 variations – the 8GB variant with a retail price of RM698 and the 16GB variant at the price of RM798 only. Book your phone through the now open preorder option from Lazada, and you can also get an additional discount of RM30 from the retailer. Exclusive customers could even get a Black Flip Cover Casing worth RM128 from Lazada absolutely free.
This inexpensive smartphone from Motorola is packed with features and has the high-performance 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with a 1GB Ram and the Adreno 305 GPU. Moto G has a 4.5 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280×720. These features are sure to undercut the U9R1 inexpensive smartphone that Ninetology is planning to launch for the masses. The U9R1 has a lower-end Snapdragon 200 processor and a smaller display of just 4.3 inches, and is priced more than the Moto G too, at RM799.
The Moto G also has a 5MP camera, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, A-GPS and HSPA+ 21Mbps. It comes with Android Jelly Bean OS (upgradeable to Android KitKat) and is powered by the 2,070mAh battery.
