We’re currently looking to hire an Editor to work full-time on Leaping Post in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Leaping Post is an online publication covering lifestyle-technology in Malaysia.  So far, Leaping Post’s team only comprises one person and several freelancers. This is an awesome job opportunity to help build an online media site right from the early stages. You’ll be researching, writing, editing, and helping in other areas to develop the editorial content. The website was started in April 2013 as a side project, and it now attracts ~30,000 monthly unique visitors and continues to grow.

Here’s what we’re looking for.

Essentials:

• Outstanding English writing skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism (or something similar) OR quality editorial experience (preferably online writing experience)
• Interest in tech (preferably knowledge and insights about tech)
• Commitment to work five days per week in an office located in Bangsar
• Eager to learn
• Great attitude
• Willing to go the extra mile to develop content and grow the audience base

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Reading and breathing tech news (local and international)
• Researching
• Writing
• Editing and publishing
• Preparing e-newsletters
• Managing social media accounts
• Conversing and engaging with readers online
• Liaising with freelancers
• Other stuff
