We are looking to hire an entrepreneurial Sales Manager to work for The Expat Group. The key responsibility of this sales position is to sell advertising for our print products and our online media products.
What is The Expat Group?
Starting with The Expat magazine in 1996, The Expat Group (TEG) has expanded over the years into the leading media company for reaching the international community interested in Malaysia. This includes resident expats, prospective expats, tourists, business travellers and more. We communicate to this audience through our magazines, websites, events, loyalty card, and visa services. The private sector and the Malaysian government frequently seek our support and input to market their products and services to this audience.
Responsibilities include:
- Finding new clients across a range of industries and company sizes
- Assisting them to find appropriate marketing solutions across our products
- Selling advertising for print magazines (e.g. The Expat, Senses of Malaysia, Essential KL, and various annual supplements)
- Selling advertising for online media (e.g. ExpatGoMalaysia.com, MM2H.com, The Expat E-newsletter, and more)
- Selling events when considered appropriate
- Servicing the clients throughout their relationship with our company
The ideal candidate should:
- Have a minimum of 3 years selling print and/or digital advertising
- Speak English and Cantonese (optional)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Be excited about selling advertising solutions to a range of industries and company sizes
Compensation and work environment
The company prides itself on having an enjoyable work environment, which is evidenced by the low staff turnover. Staff can work semi-flexible office hours. Compensation consists of a basic salary of between RM3,000 and RM4,000 depending on experience, plus commissions, transportation allowance and other incentives.
