Malaysia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia resumed codeshare cooperation between Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta beginning 3 March 2014.
The establishment will see Garuda Indonesia services from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta, and vice versa, carrying the Malaysia Airlines flight code. Malaysia Airlines currently flies 49 times weekly to and from Jakarta. With the establishment of this code share cooperation, flights to and from Jakarta will amount to 63 times weekly.
The code share between the two airlines were stopped previously due to some system related problems. Both airlines are glad to be resuming the code share and strongly believe that it will add value to their operations.
