The last wine dinner was an elegant affair. Held at Pietro Italian restaurant, guests were transported to Europe while enjoying the array of wines, the charming ambiance, and the delicious creations of Pietro’s talented chefs. The menu featured quintessential Italian favourites including smoked duck with lemon to start off the meal, followed by Brodo di pesce, a spicy seafood soup with basil and garlic bread. A mouth-watering Squid ink tagliolini with scallops, rucola and aglio olio sauce followed, much to the delight of seafood lovers, who then indulged in perfectly Pan roasted Cod Fish with tomato roma gazpacho or Grilled Angus Tenderloin. After all that there was space for Pietro’s Lemon Meringue Tart, served with fresh, sweet meringue – a combination that proved too tempting to miss.
With delicious wines complementing the flavours and loosening the tongues, the evening at Pietro went down as one of the best wine dinners ever. Belissimo!
