Petaling Jaya’s beloved Jaya Supermarket will reopen its doors on the 28th of April after being closed for redevelopment since 2009. It will now be known as Jaya Shopping Centre.
Located in Section 14, the mall was first built in 1974. It has been through a few renovation works before finally closing for a full redevelopment. In 2009, the building collapsed during a demolition process.
The new Jaya Shopping Centre has seven levels with more than 180 retail lots. About 30% of the tenants from the old Jaya Supermarket will return.
