There’s a lot happening on the southern tip of Malaysia. The Iskandar Region is transforming Johor state, as it successfully attracts substantial domestic and foreign investment. Many new residential and commercial properties are under development, international schools and universities are setting up campuses, theme parks have opened and the famous Pinewood Studios have set up a substantial facility there.
Once a part of Malaysia which consistently received bad press in the Singapore media because of its relatively high crime rate, Johor state, through Iskandar, is now pulling in a lot of investment from that country.
