It was indeed a different sort of evening for the latest Expat Mingle for several reasons. The first difference was that it was held at Guinness Anchor Berhad’s own great onsite brewpub, The Tavern. Though some arrived late on account of the weather and traffic, eventually a good crowd was on hand… though it seemed smaller at times owing to the venue’s terrific, huge size, another difference! Those who attended were amply rewarded with a buffet line-up of delicious barstyle food such as cocktail sausages, sandwiches, crispy spring rolls, chicken bites, and more. But the biggest difference might have been the freeflow beer, featuring the entire GAB line up, all on tap, all served freely until 10pm!
Prizes are always good at Expat Mingles, but once again, there was a special difference this time. In addition to a fine selection of GAB sponsored goodies, vouchers for stays at Thistle Resorts and Hotels in both Port Dickson and Johor Bahru, a great stay at Brunsfield Embassy View in KL, vouchers for dental services, and great gift certificates for F&B outlets at Best Western Dua Sentral, the grand prize was a return flight to Amsterdam, generously sponsored by KLM.
Rain and traffic in KL never meet with much enjoyment, but we think those who endured it to attend the Mingle at The Tavern were certainly well-rewarded!
