Sunway City Berhad (SunCity) is a property conglomerate within the Sunway Group which is led by founder Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Jeffrey Cheah. Cheah formed the group in 1986 to develop the Bandar Sunway township in Petaling Jaya; an area of 800-acres of wasteland which has been transformed and now features a shopping mall, resort, theme park, hospital and university.

Following on from their success with Bandar Sunway, the group are developing two more townships; one in Ipoh and one very close to the existing Bandar Sunway called Sunway South Quay, the latter of which boasts a lake. On top of their residential output, the group also develop retail outlets and business centres within the Klang Valley as well as in Penang and Ipoh.
