The name E&O is a name synonymous with timeless elegance and refinement. Inspired by the rich heritage of the legendary 19th century Eastern & Oriental Hotel in Penang from which the Group takes its name, the Bursa Malaysia main-board listed company has interests in 3 core business activities namely property development, hospitality and lifestyle and property investment.
Property Development
With a reputation as a premier lifestyle property developer built across a series of exclusive addresses in Kuala Lumpur and Penang Island, E&O has a track record that includes prestigious residential projects like Sri Se-Ekar, 202 Desa Cahaya and Kampung Warisan the latter of which was successfully conceptualised as a traditional Malay village ambience in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
More recent landmark developments in Kuala Lumpur include the signature Seventy Damansara and Idamansara, both located in the upscale Damansara Heights, the high-end condominium Dua Residency located within the vicinity of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) and the Manhattan-style metro condominiums of St Mary Residences in the heart of the Central Business District (CBD).
On Penang Island, E&O’s master planned seafront development Seri Tanjung Pinang is one of the most sought-after residential addresses among locals and expatriates on the island especially with its latest launch, the Andaman at Quayside, a sea fronting resort condominium and the first in the region to offer a 4.5-acre private waterpark for residents.
E&O is currently making its foray into Johor with the development of an iconic wellness township in the Heritage Cluster in Medini Central of the Nusajaya flagship zone of Iskandar Malaysia. The 210-acre development, also known as the Medini Integrated Wellness Capital is strategically located 15 minutes from the Tuas Second Link to Singapore. Built around the concept of “Living in the Heart of Wellness”, it is a sanctuary centred upon the ideology of preventive wellness to prolong one’s active years.

Hospitality and Lifestyle
E&O undertook the meticulous refurbishment and upgrading of the heritage Eastern & Oriental Hotel (E&O Hotel) and Lone Pine Hotel in the late 1990s. Since established by the Sarkies Brothers in 1885, E&O Hotel has charmed travellers from near and far by creating a reputation to match its sister hotels – The Raffles, Singapore and The Strand, Rangoon.
Established in 1948, Lone Pine Hotel is the oldest beach hotel along Penang Island’s Batu Ferringhi tourist strip. Due to the Group’s hotel management expertise, there are ongoing efforts to capitalise and extend this service through the management of a portfolio of hotels and resorts in Malaysia and around the region.
E&O owns The Delicious Group which operates restaurants in some of the most vibrant spots of Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Singapore. The outlet in Penang’s Straits Quay festive retail marina marks the Group’s first foray outside Kuala Lumpur while the Scotts Square, Singapore outlet is the first outside Malaysia.

Property Investment
To gain capital appreciation and sustained yields, E&O has rental income derived from investments in its own residential units, commercial and retail space. These include the retail podium at St Mary Residences, a joint venture development with 3 high-rise towers of 650 units of exclusive service apartments in Kuala Lumpur’s CBD; Dua Annexe, the lifestyle-driven boutique complex located at the annexe block adjacent to the Dua Residency condominium; the 12-acre Straits Quay, set around a vibrant marina at the heart of the Seri Tanjung Pinang 1,000-acre master planned seafront development.
