The Goods and Services Tax (GST) will not be imposed on those who use the Penang Bridge and the bridges in Johor (to enter Singapore).

According to the Royal Customs Department’s director-general Datuk Seri Khazali Ahmad, under the GST Exempted Supplies Order 2014, highways with tolls included bridges and the service would be exempted from GST.
This statement was made after a news portal wrote that the Chief Minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng, was informed that the GST exemptions for bridges were removed.
