CNN Money recently took a look at the cost of gas in several countries. According to them, the world’s least expensive gasoline can be found in Venezuela at $0.01 per gallon! The most expensive appears to be Malawi at $7.19 per gallon.
In Malaysia, one gallon of gas cost $2.03.

I would like to see these comparisons in relation to the average wage. How long would the average person need to work in Malaysia to ‘earn’ a gallon of fuel versus how long would they need to work to earn a gallon of fuel in the US or UK. The Malaysian government will try to do a direct comparison and say see how much cheaper petrol is than in the UK, but if you earn 4 or 5 times the salary in the UK, even at $ 6.13 a gallon, measured by how long you have to work to afford the fuel, it is cheaper in the UK. Plus in the UK or US your car would be a fraction of the cost, as would your road tax.
venzuela’s only product is oil. They make nothing for export. If oil runs out it will go bankrupt. U want malaysia to be like that?
