At SummerFields Preschool, our mission is to provide children a clean, safe, and comfortable environment to learn and develop essential foundation skills with guidance by professional educators.

Profile

Established in April 2009, SummerFields Preschool is an International Preschool Curriculum (IPC) authorized centre which caters for children aged 1½ to 6 years old. It is strategically located in Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. It is built-up on an area of 5,000 square feet, with a spacious outdoor garden beautifully landscaped and equipped with a variety of outdoor play equipment as a safe place for your child to enjoy, play, and at the same time develop holistically.

Our Curriculum

SummerFields Preschool applies the International Preschool Curriculum (IPC) in teaching. We respect the children’s needs for learning through concrete, fun, and hands-on experiences. The International Preschool Curriculum consists of 56 thematic units. All units encompass six trans-disciplinary content learning areas: (1) Language Arts; (2) Socio-Emotional Skills; (3) Numeracy; (4) Creative and Visual Arts; (5) Sciences; (6) Fine and Gross Motor Skills. The curriculum is based on proven, peer-reviewed concepts that include play-, inquiry-, and objective-based learning styles.

There are five underlying themes and objectives of the IPC that are designed to cultivate critical thinking, raise selfawareness, promote an understanding of other cultures, and encourage internationalism and multilingualism. The IPC takes the prevailing view that the first few years of a child’s life provide a vital opportunity for development. The IPC involves family and parents wherever possible in understanding and facilitating the objectives of the organization.

• Kindergarten 1 (5 years old)
– 8.30am to 12.30pm

• Kindergarten 2 (6 years old)
– 8.30am to 12.30pm

SummerFields Preschool offers an extended programme from 8.30am to 3.30pm and 8.30am to 5.30pm as well.

All the teaching staff at SummerFields Preschool are qualified IPC-trained teachers.

Fee Ranges: RM730 to RM980 per month

SummerFields Preschool is located in close vicinity to Hartamas Shopping Centre/Plaza Damas. Transportation is available to students staying in the Hartamas and Mont Kiara areas.
