4 live performances in Klang Valley this week, 28th January 2016

1. William Singe

23-year-old William Singe is an Australian singer, songwriter and producer. Will has gained over 200 million views on YouTube and 20 million Spotify streams, scoring a #1 on the US Spotify charts. His songs are influenced by today’s pop music, while giving them his own twist.
Performing at A Sunday Affair, the first music-centric flea market hosted by LapSap, William will be featured alongside other musical acts such as Daphne Charice, OJ Law, Bunga, and LapSap.

2. Liyana Fizi
Gaslight Cafe & Music, Unti 15-2, Jalan Medan Setia 1, Plaza Damansara, Bukit Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur.

Liyana Fizi plays stripped back acoustic tunes tinged with a mix of pop, folky and jazzy accents. Some of the main elements in her music are influenced by everyday musings and inward thoughts.
Liyana’s captivating voice and rhythm guitar is reminiscent lazy Sunday afternoons. Her influences include The Beatles, Sade, Radiohead and Joni Mitchell.

3. An Honest Mistake
Merdekarya, 352, 1st Floor, Jalan 5/57, Petaling Garden, Section 5, 46000 Petaling Jaya.

An Honest Mistake is a pop punk band, consisting of Darren Teh (lead vocals & guitar), Leonard Chua (electric guitar), Tomas Tam (bass), and Ian Ng (drums). Their music may vary from emotional ballads and relaxed acoustic to heavy hardcore and full-on rock.
An Honest Mistake will also feature other local artists such as Beatburns, Modescape, RELENT, Army of Three, Annastasha Saifol, Nick Davis, Ray Cheong, and Derpstep.

4. John Dip Silas
The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, Sentul Park, Jalan Strachan (off Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah – formerly known as Jalan Ipoh), 51100 Kuala Lumpur.
30th January, 1pm
John learned to play classical piano from the age of 5 and also gained experience by playing in church. Since graduating with a BMus in 2010, John has been an active member of the Malaysian jazz scene and also currently teaches at the University of Malaya as a jazz piano tutor. He currently leads two bands, which are the ‘John Dip Silas Trio’ and ‘The City Quartet’.
John will be featured at the 3rd Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival, under Clinic 4, Bebop Lines. Other clinics will feature famous musicians, such as Michael Veerapen, Cheah We Li, and Justin Lim. Concerts will be held from the 29th to 31st.
