This post is brought to you in part by Sri KDU International School.
Sri KDU International School (SKIS) staged its own version of Oliver! The Musical in early December 2015. This Charles Dickens tale was beautifully brought to life and performed brilliantly by its students.
Sharing the experience in managing such a diverse group of people from various backgrounds performing multiple roles, many of the teachers believed that one of the main challenges from the start would be motivating the student performers to learn and consistently practise their acting lines, dance movements, songs, and lyrics.
Nevertheless, the dramatic, lively and vivid performances of the student actors, choir, dancers, and orchestra would not have been possible without the intense sessions of rehearsals and training. SKIS’s dedicated and talented production team of Drama, Music, and English teachers have meticulously guided the students to superb performances. The students were all very proud to be part of their annual production which will be remembered for years to come.
