School snaps: 2015 AISM students graduate with top scores
This article is brought to you in part by Australian International School Malaysia (AISM).
Australian International School Malaysia’s Year 12 students produced outstanding results in the 2015 New South Wales Higher School Certificate (HSC) leading to impressive tertiary admissions ranks. AISM student, Seo Yiie Lyn, scored an outstanding 97.45 out of a possible 99.99 for her Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR), and she is excited about commencing her tertiary studies in the field of medicine.
Over one in six students achieved an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) greater than 90 points and almost one in four achieving an ATAR greater than 80 points, that all lead to a host of university offers to AISM students.
The school was also delighted to hear that six students from AISM achieved a place on the 2015 Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) New South Wales (NSW) Distinguished Achievers List for scoring a Band 6 or equivalent. A Band 6 is a score greater than 90 points for the subjects they studied.
In recent years, over 40% of AISM graduates were accepted into their university of choice in Australia, 30% were accepted into universities in the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Korea, and Japan, and 30% were accepted into Malaysian Universities.
