For anyone who has been struggling with their services for telecom, TV, internet, post or online gambling, you can now complain directly to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) via WhatsApp.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the commission (Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia in bahasa melayu) announced that:
“an MCMC complaints channel through the WhatsApp application has been activated.
This channel allows people to make a complaint about any issues with telecom, broadcasting, internet service, the postal service and gambling online.”
The new number is +6016 2206 262 and it is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. The commision states it will acknowledgement receipt of a complaint within 24 hours.
"ExpatGo welcomes and encourages comments, input, and divergent opinions. However, we kindly request that you use suitable language in your comments, and refrain from any sort of personal attack, hate speech, or disparaging rhetoric. Comments not in line with this are subject to removal from the site. "
