Thirty-five interactors from KTJ forms 4, 5 and L6 recently visited the Charis Old Folks’ Home in Mantin. The home provides care for 23 people from different age groups and backgrounds.
Some interactors talked, sang, and danced together with the home’s residents, and the joy written in their expressions was priceless. The group that was in charge of cleaning started their work as soon as they stepped into the house, and swept, mopped, cleaned the fans, and washed the toilets. The rest raked the dried leaves and cleaned the compound.
Rotarians Christina, May, and Dato’ James brought along the donations in kind, such as rice, Milo, milk powder, biscuits, and more from the Rotary Club of Seremban. Our club also donated new bed sheets, pillow cases, and more to the home. It was sad to say goodbye to such appreciative people, but we’ll be sure to pay more visits in the near future.
