Excelsior International School in Johor staged the Run for Hope in late March. Students and staff, along with members of the wider community, ran or walked a five-kilometre course on the roads in Kota Iskandar as part of the three-day Demi Johor Dua festival.
The Run for Hope is staged all over the world to celebrates the memory of Canadian cancer sufferer Terry Fox who died on his epic run across Canada to raise awareness of cancer.
The participants in the EIS Run for Hope raised a total of RM10,000 which was presented to the representatives of the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation. EIS will stage next year’s Run for Hope in April 2017 at its campus in Bandar Seri Alam.
