Sunway International School celebrated in of May, winning ‘Gold’ in the Reader’s Digest (RD) Trusted Brand award 2016. SIS is the first and only school to win this prestigious award for the Private/International school category consecutively since it was first introduced in 2015. SIS’s Executive Director, Cheng MienWee, received the Award on behalf of the School from YB Puan Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department at the celebration dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur.
“SIS is honoured by this Award.We thank our students and parents for their trust and support in making SIS their international school of choice,” said Cheng.
“SIS’s positive reputation arises from the good work of caring and experienced teachers and administrators at the School.”
The RD Trusted Brand Award is a significant distinction for SIS. The survey canvassed a representative sample of approximately 5,000 individuals in six of Asia’s key markets: Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, and Taiwan.
SIS’s accolades this year also include the ‘5-Star’ rating for private and international schools by the Ministry of Education (MOE) Malaysia. SIS was rated excellent for achieving the highest rating in the Standard Kualiti Institusi Pendidikan Swasta (SKIPS) 2015. The SKIPS assessment encompasses numerous criteria including the school’s curriculum, teaching and learning, academic excellence, facilities, and quality processes.
