Early this year, R.E.A.L International School’s Shah Alam Campus once again played host to the ISAKL Under-16 boys Football Tournament. With a participation of five teams comprising 50 players from three international schools, there was no shortage of on-field talent as spectators were treated to a showcase of skill, strength, and stamina.
As the dust settled, it was double delight for the host as the top two spots were clinched by R.E.A.L Schools National and R.E.A.L International School teams, who finished as champions and runners-up, respectively.
The ongoing focus on grassroots development in football and sports in general has seen this tournament play its part by providing a proper platform for students to pursue their passion from a young age. The budding footballers were also taught and exposed to the values of sport such as respecting authority, teammates, and opponents, as well as fair play, sportsmanship, and proper conduct on and off the pitch. It is hoped that this and other similar initiatives by R.E.A.L Schools would continue to promote a healthy and active lifestyle amongst students.
