Being the most populous state, Selangor is definitely one of the best places to live in Malaysia. Selangor is located on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia and is bordered by Perak to the north, Pahang to the east, Negeri Sembilan to the south and the Strait of Malacca to the west. It surrounds the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, both of which were once under Selangor’s territorial sovereignty.
Rapid growth and development
Thanks to the modernisation and urbanisation in Greater Klang Valley area, Selangor is growing rapidly. With a number of well-known urban centres such as Shah Alam, Klang, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, and Cyberjaya, Selangor maintains a high standard of living. The education, infrastructure, communications, and healthcare facilities in Selangor are also among the best in the region, according to Invest Selangor Berhad.
The state also has been monitoring the growing arrival of visitors who come to Selangor seeking medical treatment and while they are being treated, they also take restful holidays with their families here. There are a wide number of medical centres in Selangor who have recognised this potential and are actively participating in medical tourism.
