IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) students of Sri KDU International School organized the second annual TEDx event, which saw speakers sharing life anecdotes, providing invaluable insights and inspiring the audience. Abstractly themed ‘Dream’, the IB Juniors brought together individuals from various walks of life to help students explore innovative ideas and challenge conventional wisdom, to think out-of-the-box with the aim of encouraging creative solutions. Among the speakers who shared their personal perspectives were: Adam Bruce Martin, owner of a health and fitness consultancy; Cody Foo, a five-time Malaysian beatbox champion; Pratik Raghu, doctoral student and former IBDP valedictorian of Sri KDU International School.
TEDx is an event where TED-like talks and videos from previous TED conferences are shared with the primary purpose of spreading ideas. Originating from ‘Technology, Entertainment, and Design’, TED prides itself on a diverse set of ideas, from arts and comedy to science to alleviating poverty. The TEDx brand has grown significantly over the past few years and has reached one billion video views in over 50 languages since its inception in 2008.
