Ladurée is a famous luxury bakery in France that was founded in 1862 by French miller and writer, Louis-Ernest Ladurée. The 155-year-old bakery is credited with the invention of the macaron by Ladurée’s grandson, Pierre Desfontaines, in 1930. The treat, made by simply sticking two macaron shells together with a creamy filling, has become a must-try for anyone visiting Paris. The love of macarons has spread across the globe and is now a staple at many bakeries and sweet shops.
As Ladurée grew in popularity, the bakery eventually branched out, opening outlets in over 20 countries around the world from Canada, Russia, Azebaijan, and Kuwait to Singapore, the Philippines, and more. The nearest outlet for macaron fans in Malaysia was in Singapore or Bangkok, but now, local fans can look forward to the opening of Malaysia’s very first Ladurée in Pavilion KL.
There’s not a lot of information yet about what the bakery will be serving, but we’re quite confident that macarons will be the star attraction. You can keep an eye out for updates and the opening date announcement on their Facebook page.

Wow! I doubt it can last at current market situation how many willing to spend RM18 for a macaroon
It’ll probably be a a hit for tea parties, though! And hopefully the macarons won’t be that expensive ?
It will be expensive, they (Laduree and Pierre Herme) are selling like RM90 for a small box of 6 ? thats before MYR depreciate to 4.50
Is this the price in Singapore? That’s really expensive!
No idea how much it sell in Singapore, there is one stall in Takashimaya
RM90 is in Bangkok
Wow. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how much they decide to sell it here. It will definitely be one of the more expensive places for desserts.
