About the school
The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) was established in 1965 and was the first fully accredited international school in Malaysia. The private, not-for-profit, parent-governed school is also accredited in the United States through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and internationally through the Council of International Schools (CIS).
The ISKL Elementary School offers a standards based curriculum delivered through instructional practices guided by research based resources. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematics, social studies, science, and language arts. There are also specialists to provides classes on visual arts, music, and physical education. ISKL also offers a myriad of after school activities for students to explore varying interests and develop skills in academic, artistic and athletic fields.
