2018Garden International School (GIS) has been shortlisted for the British International School Awards 2018 in the Outstanding Strategic Initiative category. The Outstanding Strategic Initiative award nomination is a recognition of the success of the GIS Professional Learning Culture in fostering an environment of reflective and collaborative learning across the school community.
Professional Development at GIS improved considerably over recent years with the integration of the Professional Learning Afternoons; doubling the time dedicated to internal professional development. This increase places GIS up there with the ‘best performing schools’ in the world which according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) have at least 100 hours of directed professional development time a year.
Results will be announced during the Awards on Monday, 22 January 2018 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London, UK.
