Eeson Tong, a student of R.E.A.L International School’s Johor Bahru Campus, was awarded a scholarship to attend the Kingdom Education (KE) Summer School programme at King’s College, London last year. The two-week programme is offered to high school students aged 15 to 17 years who want a taste of university life in English-speaking countries.
Eason took courses on ‘English for Academic Purposes’ – which honed his academic writing and reading skills – ‘Economics’, and ‘Business & Entrepreneurship’ in view of his keen interest in the study of markets. He participated in tutorials, discussions, presentations, and debates to build his confidence and to train himself to be more attentive.
Eeson was also introduced to local sports and activities, and visited leading UK universities and the British Museum, among several other famous landmarks. Such priceless opportunities are firmly supported by R.E.A.L’s belief of always expanding students’ horizons beyond classroom settings.
