Starting in the fall of 2016, Excelsior International School students and Interact Club have been working on and developing an Eco Friendship Garden with saplings donated by the Forestry Commission and Asia Plantation Capital. The Eco Friendship Garden at Excelsior International School is a social, community-based programme undertaken by Excelsior International School, the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru Sentral, Shafar Care Home for Girls, and the Excelsior Interact Club. The garden is designed to provide opportunities for the girls of Shafar and the students of EIS, to cooperate, collaborate, and to create together a Garden of Friendship – a garden that is sustainable, environmentally-sound, and in which all can share lasting memories. Every Friday, the Shafar Care Home for Girls and Excelsior International School Students work together building the garden and building relationships.
