The typical staycation criteria for many people (me included) is that the room needs to have a good bathtub. But since you’re already going to spend on a room, why not level-up the staycation experience with a relaxing hot tub or jacuzzi? Here are a few places to check out, depending on your staycation needs.
1. Lavender Inn, Subang, Selangor
If your sole purpose is to use a hot tub, consider Lavender Inn in USJ Subang. Located in the shop lot area behind Da Men Mall, their hot tubs are able to accommodate two people at a time. What’s even cooler is that the tub also has changing lights at the bottom of the tub! The room is nothing to shout about, with beds, a TV, and basic amenities, but definitely worth it for the use of a large tub.

2. Telaga Terrace Boutique Hotel, Langkawi, Kedah
This may be a bit on the pricier end, but based on the reviews, it seems to be worth it. Most online reviewers said they had a good stay, and that the premium upgrade for the jacuzzi was worth the money. This place seems to offer a full and pleasant holiday experience, including comfortable rooms, sufficient amenities, and friendly staff. It’s strategic location along Cenang is another plus point, with convenience stores and restaurants available nearby.

3. Villa Samadhi, Kuala Lumpur
Most visitors spoke highly of their private (and mostly unexpected addition) jacuzzi, which was a treat for couples. Some did say that the water could have been warmer and that there were no controls for the bubbles in the tub, but it wasn’t a major put-off for some. Overall reviews showed that guests had an enjoyable stay due to the relaxing ambiance exuded by the place, just be sure to check on the timing and usage of the jacuzzi beforehand!

4. Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside
Quiet and relaxing, the hotel is away from the bustle of the city, yet not too far for a weekend trip. The room is rather spacious, which is why it can accommodate a hot tub in the room itself! Perfect for couples who want to have a romantic getaway, the hotel has a resort feel to it. Overall, reviews said that the room was rather comfortable and worth it, without having the need to travel far out for those who were looking for a good staycation spot not far from KL.

5. The Sterling Boutique Hotel Melaka
“A spacious room with a big jacuzzi”. Those are the two points highlighted by reviewers of the place. Though some said the place is a little run-down, best to check and make sure known that the purpose of your stay is for the jacuzzi. Overall, the reviews of the place was satisfactory, especially in the sense of convenience as it is not far from Jonker Street.
