The entire cohort of Year 8 students of Sri KDU International School camped at Janda Baik to be exposed to nature for an immersive experience to incorporate Resourcefulness, Resilience, Reciprocity, and Reflection in their learning. Imagine the fun they had while learning to fish in the Benus River, cooking and serving their own meals. The learning sessions included archery, paintball, and telematches, all to empower the students to discover their potential while building transferable skills. Teachers, leaders, and followers determined their goals and decided on the course of action needed to accomplish them. These young adults showed trust, respect, bravery, and energy during these two days of experiential learning. Recognising that the outdoors can be a great classroom, the curriculum at SKIS incorporates educational field trips for all year levels.
