The Tunku Temenggong of Johor, Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim graced the Installation dinner, of the 6th President of the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru Central (27th September). Also at the event, was Mr. Ng Boon Yew–Founder and Chairman of EIS, who presented a cheque for MYR 30,000 to HH Tunku Idris raised during the annual Run for Hope in aid of the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation.
The club supports and guides Excelsior International School Interact Club in leadership skills and learning about service above self. The EIS Interact club was recognized during the event for its work supporting the annual Run for Hope as well as their partnership and support for the orphans of SHAFAR Welfare Organisation (Pertubuhan Kebajikan Shafar) Johor Bahru. His Highness is the Royal Patron of the club. During the ceremony, Mr Vijendran Vengadesan was installed as the new president. Some 80 Rotarians attended the gala dinner, which also included singing and dancing performances.
