At the recent International Schools’ Athletics Conference (ISAC) Track and Field Championship held at Kuala Lumpur Alice Smith School (KLASS), the Mont’Kiara International School (M’KIS) athletes took home 23 medals with a combined elementary, middle and high school team of only 44 athletes.
In a highly competitive competition that consisted of Kuala Lumpur’s top international schools, M’KIS was one of the smaller teams on the day. The M’KIS athletes rose to the occasion and were a shining example of how a handful of dedicated athletes have the ability to compete at any level. Athletes from every school put forward exceptional performances throughout the day, making it a real testament to international school education here in Malaysia.
“We are exceptionally proud of each and every one of our athletes. They have worked incredibly hard over the past twelve weeks and deserve the results they achieved today. No matter where they placed, we know that they gave one-hundred percent on the day. We look forward to continuing to build a strong and competitive athletics program at M’KIS. We would also like to thank KLASS for hosting and putting on a great weekend.” – M’KIS Head Coach, Mr. Jeff Hritzuk.
The Elementary ISAC Championship took place on Saturday 23 February 2019, with the Middle and High School ISAC Championship taking place on Sunday 24 February 2019. Both days ran smoothly with a new format that was implemented this year in relation to the timing of events.
