Under the unveiling of its new branding campaign with the slogan “Move Beyond”, Cathay Pacific is set to break away from its old model of “Life Well Travelled”.
Throughout the year-long upgrade for the long-haul network, Cathay Pacific teased on a launching of a “new business class experience” to complement its business class dining concept that is currently close to completion next month.
Business Traveller Asia-Pacific anticipates Cathay Pacific’s under-wraps upgrading would involve the revamping of premium cabin amenities, citing the confirmed new first-class seat product that is slated to debut on the upcoming Boeing 777-9 aircraft during mid-2021.
Not only will the first-class cabins undergo extensive upgrading, Cathay Pacific also looks to bring back the Betsy craft beer new and improved, named after its first Douglas DC-3 aircraft launched in 2017.
The Hong Kong flag carrier has also rolled out new locally-inspired in-flight menus for all classes in all flights departing the nation at the beginning of this year.
Ground-wise, the reopening of Cathay Pacific’s lounge at the Shanghai Pudong Airport is planned for the third quarter of 2019, after undergoing extensive renovation of its design and facilities. This follows the opening of The Sanctuary, a new yoga and meditation place at the airline’s The Pier Business Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport this past January.
