Ashley and Mikael are both mature and sensible young students and excellent role models for their peers. However, what else do they have in common? They are both all-rounders at Epsom College!
Ashley Lim (Year 9) and Mikael Hashim (Year 10) both recently entered and won the Immerse Education: Essay Competition 2019–an international Essay Competition. As a result, they have scholarships to study at the Cambridge Summer School in the UK this year. Ashley is also a rising fencing star who won gold and silver medals at the Leon Paul Junior Series (LPJS) Durham fencing competition in the UK recently. She is now ranked 3rd in the Girls’ Epee U15 UK category. Likewise, Mikael is an accomplished pianist who achieved 2nd place in the National ABRSM High Scorers’ Competition in the Diploma Category in April. It is an incredible achievement to score so highly in a national competition of this calibre. Congratulations Ashley and Mikael!
