While the new government of Malaysia celebrated its first full term not too long ago in May, the oldest active prime minister of the world celebrates his 94th birthday today on the 10th on July.
Mahathir has long been a force to be reckoned with, established in his first run as Malaysia’s fourth prime minister in 1981 to 2003, during which his tenure propelled Malaysia into the progressive nation we know today; and his return to parliament as Malaysia’s eighth prime minister only last year.
It has been such an eventful year since, and Mahathir has shown nothing but unwavering leadership in the role he sacrificed his golden years for.
