Local Theatre Company Joins Global Halloween Event ‘Whispers in the Dark’

KL’s very own Pop Up Theatre will be among an international line up of productions selected for ‘Whispers in the Dark,’ a terrifying virtual theatre experience just for Halloween week! ‘Whispers in the Dark’ will be presenting “spine chilling” tales from around the world, and viewers will be able to enjoy “petrifying performances” from Malaysia, Turkey, the UK, Ireland, and the US!

Thornhill Theatre Space is a digital platform for global theatre, dedicated to being a digital space giving theatre companies around the world the platform to showcase their work to a global audience. Pop Up Theatre’s most recent play, ‘Unicorns are Jerks’ for Short n Sweet at KLPAC

Representing Malaysia is an independent local theatre company, Pop Up Theatre, founded by British expat Scott McQuaid. Scott is a writer and director as well as the resident Artistic Director for Cempaka Performing Arts, of Cempaka International School.

Founded in 2016, Pop Up Theatre produces original productions for stage and audio theatre with content ranging from comedy to drama, with short to full-length plays, musicals, and podcast plays. Find their YouTube link here.
