After a successful NFT launch earlier this year, Tiger Beer and Pestle and Mortar Clothing (PMC) teams up once more to launch the Tiger Uncage Fund.
Created with the aim to support the local art scene and talents from various backgrounds, the Tiger Uncage Fund is only the first of several upcoming initiatives to bring back life to the industries which were so heavily impacted during the pandemic.
Four up-and-coming artists will be receiving a RM50,000 grant each, with the proceeds gathered from the sales of ‘The Tiger Archives’ NFT collection released in conjunction with the Year of the Tiger. As of its launch, there are currently eight eligible longlisted finalists for the fund including Apoh, Jay Ivanez, Kai Yi Wong, Leon Sapphire, Luvenia, Rachel Chong, Shu, and Wai Chun – all sourced from various mediums including social media, websites, and input from both creative and activation agencies.
A Discord voting procedure will be conducted by the community, and the four winners are to be revealed this month of August 2022.
