Jameson Irish Whiskey and Pernod Ricard Malaysia recently brought the good times to KL at their REWIND House Party.
Jameson, the iconic Irish whiskey brand, brought the 1990s and 2000s back to life at The Godown last Saturday (22 June) with the Jameson REWIND House Party. With some 800 attendees, guests enjoyed a stellar lineup of live acts and DJs while exploring a variety of activities in specially curated rooms.
RECONNECTING IN THE DIGITAL AGE
In today’s screen-dominated world, Jameson is all about breaking barriers and savouring those spontaneous moments that spark lifelong friendships. The Jameson REWIND House Party invited Malaysians to relive the pre-social media days when bonding happened face-to-face, over belly laughs and pure joy, free from digital distractions. This event was part of Jameson’s global ‘Widen the Circle’ campaign, celebrating meaningful encounters that bring people closer together.
THE JAMESON REWIND COCKTAIL CHALLENGE
Before the main event, Jameson hosted the Jameson REWIND Cocktail Challenge Finals, where five finalists navigated a surprise obstacle course before presenting their nostalgia-themed cocktails to the judges. The challenge included creating four glasses of Jameson Ginger & Lime in an unconventional way for extra points. Priya Dharrsini and Justin from Good Friends Club Penang emerged as winners, earning an all-expenses-paid trip to Midleton Distillery for the Jameson HOSTS Global Summit.
A FUN AND UNIQUE HOUSE PARTY EXPERIENCE
Jameson transformed The Godown with themed rooms offering unique activities:
- The Yard: On the ground floor, guests enjoyed delicious bites from The GoodFellas Kitchen + Bar, My BurgerLab, and Tok Pork, along with a Jameson-infused Ais Kacang Ball from Penang Lang.
- The Gamer Den: Upstairs, guests played retro arcade games, got haircuts at a pop-up barbershop, tried temporary tattoos, and took Polaroid photos as souvenirs. Tarot card readings added a mystical touch.
- The Attic: Known as The Black Barrel Room, this area featured throwback Hip Hop and R&B tunes, punk rock classics, and Y2K pop hits spun by DJs Misty, MJ, and Reeve. Guests enjoyed Jameson Black Barrel cocktails, hair braiding, and thrift shopping at a setup by Hundred Percent and 4 KICKS.
- Living Room Live: The main hall showcased top local talents performing original songs and 90s hits. The lineup included EMO NIGHT KL, CLAUDIA, TY:DEL, The Peachskins, Saint Kylo, LOST SPACES, The Filters, and Merakki. The nostalgic vibes were complemented by the ‘Asam Boy’ cocktail, crafted by Angel Ng from Triptyk Bar.
The Jameson REWIND Party was a nostalgia-fueled extravaganza, filled with pop culture throwbacks, classic hits, and the chance to make new friends. It was the #throwback party of the year, not to be missed.
PERNOD RICARD’S ‘DRINK MORE WATER’ INITIATIVE
Amidst the fun, Pernod Ricard reminded everyone to stay hydrated and enjoy responsibly with their ‘Drink More Water’ campaign. This initiative, launched in Malaysia last year, aims to promote responsible drinking through digital and on-ground activations, reaching at least 5.7 million consumers.
