Expat ladies of all nationalities donned their colourful, summery dresses to join us for The Expat Ladies’ Brunch held at the stylish and exclusive Binjai on the Park.
Against a stunning backdrop of the turquoise swimming pool of this high-end condominium and with the shimmering Petronas Towers standing as proud sentinels over the park, the ladies sipped on glasses of sparkling wine – lovely bubbly courtesy of Cronier Wines – and mingled, before emcee Nick Atkinson spoke a few words of official welcome and declared the buffet spread officially open.
The food selection, which was provided by Traders Hotel, offered an impressive mid-morning meal, with ladies torn between the crisp salads and the freshly fried rice, vegetables, and various meat dishes. Desserts were not to be overshadowed, and platters of pavlova, cheesecake, cakes, and sliced fruit completed a yummy brunch that was enthusiastically taken up by the crowd.
As the morsels were disappearing, 18-year-old Satchie revealed a soulful, powerful voice behind her youthful exterior when she took to the microphone to perform some well-known hits, and the music of Adele and Jason Mraz provided a charming soundtrack to the meal.
As a true girly treat, La Senza supplied models, decked up in the latest designs and styles from the lingerie outlet, to put on a fashion show, and those tempted by the products were thrilled to find a special La Senza voucher in their goodie bags. The lucky draw also featured La Senza VIP cards as well as vouchers for the London Orchid, treats from Rainforest Herbs, and dining vouchers.
As the morning disappeared, the ladies bid farewell and headed home, but not before a quick trip up to the penthouse to admire the amazing, uninterrupted view of the city skyline.
Thanks to all the ladies that joined us for a wonderful brunch, and if you missed out, fear not, there will be more bubbly brunches to come!
