Investing in excellent facilities and resources is an integral component of an Alice Smith education. At the Alice Smith School, the school has recently implemented a Clean Air programme that aims to create and promote a safe and healthy learning environment for all students and staff.

“Alice Smith is the first school in Malaysia that meets global WHO and EPA fine particle pollution PM2.5 standards. The school recently purchased high quality air purifiers for every classroom at both campuses and selected indoor areas. Protecting children from a young age keeps them healthy and alert,” said Head of School, Roger Schultz.

Investing and equipping every classroom with air purifiers is a huge investment for the school. However, as children spend at least 6 to 7 hours a day in school, the Alice Smith School is concerned about the extent of exposure they have to harmful particles and views it important to improve the school’s air quality to provide a nurturing environment for education to flourish.
