The Malaysian Conservation Alliance for Tigers (MYCAT) is an alliance of WWF-Malaysia, Malaysian Nature Society, TRAFFIC Southeast Asia, and Wildlife Conservation Society-Malaysia Programme that is focused on protecting wild the critically endangered mascot of the country, of which there are only 300 left in the region.

One of MYCAT’s tiger conservation activities are CAT Walks. The walks are a  guided weekend trek through the critical Sungai Yu Wildlife Corridor, a priority biodiversity area in Pahang where poaching and illegal enroachment is a problem. CAT volunteers will get to enjoy Malaysia’s great outdoors, while assisting MYCAT and local authorities by reporting signs of illegal activity, disarming snares and checking camera traps to monitor the presence of wildlife.
