Grab has announced a new promotion, where, from 7-13 April 2016, every time users book a GrabCar using their credit / debit card, the fare could cost as low as RM1.
This promotion is unlimited: Grab announced that users can take advantage of ‘as many Ringgit Rides as they want throughout this week’.
If a user’s journey is within 5 km, they will pay RM1. The distance shown in-app is not the actual driving distance: if the driving distance is within 5 km, the estimated fixed fare displayed will be RM7. But RM6 will be deducted from all non-premium GrabCar rides with payment via credit / debit card during this period.
For example:
Estimated fare (displayed): RM7
Promo: -RM6
Actual charge: RM1
If the driving distance is more than 5 km, the estimated fixed fare displayed will be RM8 or more. RM6 will still be deducted from all non-premium GrabCar rides with payment via credit/debit card.
For example:
Estimated fare (displayed): RM10
Promo: -RM6
Actual charge: RM4
We wanted to check how far you could go with the RM1 promotion and found you could get all the way from Bangsar LRT to Changkat Bukit Bintang – if you so desired:
Here’s also a quick rundown of the other terms and conditions:
If the fare is less than than RM5 , there will be no reimbursement of the fare difference.
A cancelled booking (either by passenger or driver) nullifies the promo entry.
Toll charges are not included in this promo.
